The Technical Manufacturing Chemist I will be responsible for producing material for use in immunology-based chromatography and enzyme tests. This role involves maintaining production schedules, ensuring quality control, and working on product improvement protocols within a regulated environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support the production schedule.
  • Investigate problem areas and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement new procedures while observing proper safety precautions.
  • Perform in-process QC testing of manufacturing materials, including qualifications, quality inspections, and titrations.
  • Maintain quality systems and ensure compliance with GMP/GLP standards.
  • Develop and follow protocols designed around product improvement.
  • Produce critical and non-critical bioreagents for use in products and manufacturing processes using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate manufacturing efforts based on the production schedule and maintain the raw bioreagent supply as needed.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience with:
  • Pipetting
  • Spectrophotometry
  • HPLC
  • pH meters
  • Gel Electrophoresis
  • SDS Page
  • ELISA assays


Competencies:

  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications, including spreadsheet, database, manufacturing, and word processing software.
