The Quality Manager position is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality Manager must fully understand the requirements for the products and/or services and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as the competition. The goal is to ensure that our products and services are capable to drive sustainable growth.


Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Participates in the hiring and oversees the work of direct reports
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and EMS regulatory/legal requirements
  • Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems
  • Oversee inspection of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements
  • Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products
  • Report to top management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement
  • Conduct periodic management review meetings
  • Keep up on standards, regulations/laws, issues, and news with respect to product (service) quality
  • Submit customer PPAP’s
  • Support and the maintain the gage system
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
  • Work with other Arnold facilities and customers, review specifications for products or processes
  • Oversee the requirements for raw material or intermediate products from suppliers and monitor their compliance
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
  • Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis with regards to TQM
  • Identify the training plan of plant personnel to follow work instructions to properly operate Headers, Tappers, Thread Rollers and any other designated equipment, and work jointly with all departments involved
  • Work jointly with Project Manager, Purchasing, and Accounting to monitor capital expenses, production tooling, and all other materials and services required to maintain the production workflow


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and oral
  • Able to analyze problems, generate solutions and achieve results
  • Ability to work with other employees from different departments/levels
  • Detail oriented and a results driven approach
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills


Education and Experience:


  • 5 to 10 years of previous quality experience in the manufacturing industry
  • 2 to 5 years QMS experience
  • ERP experience
  • QMS software experience
