Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist
Location: Jacksonville FL
Duration: 6 months (CONTRACT TO HIRE)
Shift: 2nd shift 230-11pm M-F Every 4th weekend 7a-7pm Must be able to work a holiday this yea
Eligibility:
U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or individuals with an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) are eligible to apply for this position
Required Skills:
- Medical Lab Experience is required-
- Florida State License is required
- ASCP OR AMT CERTIFIED – MUST BE REGISTERED TO SIT FOR TEST ASAP IF NOT ASCP OR AMT CERTIFIED
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- 1. Please confirm if this will be a generalist role, micro lab role, molecular lab role? Generalist [Coag,hem,UA, Chem etc.]
- 2. Is Blood Bank experience required? Preferred
- 3. Education required: BS, BSMT or open to MLT? MLS would be great. Can do MLT if nothing available.
- 4. Do you require candidates to be ASCP or AMT certified? If required are you open to registered / eligible candidates? if they sit for the test asap? They just must be Florida licensed **
- 5. Shift time and day Please include training hours if different from listed shift]s: Training is on dayshift M-F 630-3pm Actual shift is 2nd 230-11pm M-F Every 4th weekend 7a-7pm
- 6. Is this temp to hire or only temp? Could be if we have not found anyone.
- 7. Any particular LIS or lab system you would prefer to see in resumes/ nice to have? Cerner
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in a physical, chemical, biological science or Medical Technology.
- Education Preferred: Can have an AA if they are an MLT.
