DreamCatchers is searching for an Inventory/Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This person will be responsible for receiving, tracking, and ensuring Inventory accuracy of all items within the warehouse. This person will also be responsible for creating PO’s to ensure that Inventory levels are maintained for smooth production flow. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies in alignment with the company’s objectives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill their material requirements. 


Supplier Management: 

  • Coordinate with suppliers quotes for moving shipments based on cost and reliability of suppliers.  Ensure that all quotes are discussed and approved by Manager.  
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track and resolve any shipments from vendors.  

 

Inventory Management: 

 

  • Monitor inventory levels and perform daily and weekly cycle counts. Implement inventory controls to ensure accuracy of all  bins and pallet locations within the warehouse.  
  • Research and resolve inventory variances and report root cause for variance.  
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. 
  • Track and expedite orders to meet production schedules and deadlines. 
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, including returns and replacements. 


Cost Management:  

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and inventory data. 
  • Utilize data analysis tools to drive decision-making and process improvements. 


Compliance and Risk Management: 

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations. 
  • Manage risks associated with supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans. 
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and changes that may impact procurement practices. 


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or a related field.


Skills We’re Looking For: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter, takes initiative- business and results driven.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Advance skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is preferred.


Job Type: Full-time

Salary Start: $60,000

Expected hours: 40 per week
