Manager notes:

  • -He is getting a lot of people with BCP but they need to have actually worked with the application
  • -Candidates have been lacking the technical piece
  • -On a technical scale from 1-5 they should be around a 3
  • -They will work with the application team
  • -They will have daily stand up calls
  • -Tool they use to build is called cut over
  • -Understanding of Kanban, agile, Jira (Does NOT have to be too heavy on PM)
  • -Doesn't actually have to have super strong BCP. Has seen great candidates that are application -managers or risk accessors



Top Skills' Details

1) Experience working within cyber resiliency groups/organizations and supporting resiliency or business continuity type projects, BCP - Business Continuity Planning. Experience using templates and documenting all critical data and databases for a company to back them up in the case of a cyber event/attack. Using templates that follow NIST specifically.

2) Experience as a project manager, driving delivery of projects, running meetings, scheduling meetings and stand ups

Job Description

We are looking for an Information Security Analyst to join Wells Fargo's Cyber Security organization within their Cyber Resiliency group. This group is focused on maturity for cyber resiliency, engaging the applications to get them to start thinking about cyber events, documenting those plans and schedule those exercises, do mock events where they go through those and make sure they are nice and sound.

Successful candidates should have strong experience in Business Continuity Planning processes and background in Cyber Resiliency activities. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple parallel deliverables to completion within deadlines, and experience with communicating progress to senior leadership. Resources will need to obtain buy-in from application teams to engage and prioritize work and should have a very strong technical knowledge with respect to tech stack/application architecture.

Helping to engage the applications and planning some clean re-build or bare metal restore events. An application gets affected by a bad actor and recovery environment/back up environment is impacted so the plan would be to rebuild the application from scratch and doing this with the critical applications first.

Responsibilities:



- Reaching out to assigned applications and engaging them through an intake process, scheduling a quick onboarding call and doing a soft transition to get them started and creating these documents

- Creating the initial templates for the application and explain the work and commit to delivering on time

- Scheduling meetings with applications to discuss tasks

- Being a part of daily team stand ups on progress/ roadblocks and planned work

- Use Cut Over as the system of record for templates

- They also use Microsoft Teams, Jira, SharePoint as well in the day to day

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CBCP, Certified Business Continuity Professional

CDRP, Certified Disaster Recovery Professional

A: No they did not use any tech stacks. They will be building out a recovery plan for cyber-attacks or events and decide which teams to get involved to execute.

BCP: ex - internal application gets hacked and they will plan the work on what it will take to recover

  • Agile, SCRUM, Kanban is GREAT Have been in an agile environment.

Provide information security consultation to improve awareness and compliance with Enterprise Information Security policy, processes and standards. Perform remediation of security assessment review issues, complex ad hoc data, and reporting to support information security risk management. Provide guidance and direction in reviewing assessment findings and mitigating controls to optimize information security. Identify and direct information asset portfolio reconciliations and certifications. Provide advanced data aggregation and data of information security risk exposure. Develop and deliver Information Security Education Awareness and Training in accordance with the Enterprise Information Security Program standards. Review draft and proposed control standards for business impact and recommend modifications or clarifications as required. Conduct security control testing and consultation with stakeholders. Evaluate and interpret internal and Enterprise Information Security policies, processes and standards, and provide recommendations to improve them. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Interact with internal customers. Serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.
