The Business Analyst is a detailed planner and expert communicator that will facilitate and drive progressive process and systems solutions. They will design and implement improvements for continued business growth, process change and improvement. They should be energetic and committed to the discovery and development of innovative solutions in an evolving business process environment.  


Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Serve as thought leader for business processes, developing forward-thinking process and systems improvements that promote increased efficiency, communication, and productivity across the organization

• Create, maintain, and implement solution roadmaps and detailed implementation plans for initiatives

• Communicate ideas, roadmaps, and plans at all levels of the organization

• Determine and develop as is and to be business process improvements and document and communicate processes and process changes using industry best practice tools and techniques

• Determine and develop user requirements for as is and to be production systems

• Support and drive business analysis across multiple initiative streams across the organization

• Partner with other stakeholder teams across business units (i.e., sales, operations, customer service, finance) to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams

• Evaluate, analyze, document, and communicate process and systems requirements on a continuing basis regular communication to all appropriate parties

• Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation

• Design systems metrics and analytics to allow management to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems

• Maintain IT project backlog for assigned solutions

• Maintain and develop our growing catalog of Power Automate flows to enable continued business process improvement

• Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations


Skills and Experience

• Bachelors or master’s degree. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education

• 5+ years of proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity

• High proficiency with business process design and documentation tools including swim lane diagrams, interaction diagrams, BPMN, sequence diagrams

• High proficiency with technical requirements documentation with traditional and Agile methodologies

• High proficiency and efficiency with process documentation tools like Visio, Draw.IO, BPMN tools, or similar

• Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI

• Demonstrable analytical abilities with live production systems examples

• Previous experience with cross-company boundary system integrations via APIs

• Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

• Prefer previous experience with CRM and ERP systems

• Prefer previous experience in heavy equipment industry

• Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)

• Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and skill in building and modifying SRSS reporting components

• Skill and ability to communicate verbally clearly and concisely and in writing

• Skill in applying critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving methods

• Skill in attending to detail and data accuracy validation

• Knowledge and skills to manage projects, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), SQL, SRSS
