About the Role:

The Outside Sales Representative will focus on new customer acquisition and customer relationships with an emphasis on the refrigeration sector. This includes cold calling potential new clients and customers while also maintaining current customer relationships and needs by coordinating with internal teams. The ideal candidate is energetic and well-spoken, and excited by the idea of working with customers to solve problems and create solutions.


This is a hybrid role, with regular travel to Effingham, IL required.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track customer RFQs to completion
  • Research and develop potential clients in new and existing markets for potential growth opportunities, while developing and maintaining a database of client/prospect information
  • Support Customer Service with all customer issues concerning pricing, delivery, quality concerns, new product introductions, and other sales responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods and relevant internal liaison to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate activities with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Production on ongoing projects in an effort to support customer objectives
  • Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries from all channels (company website, customer service, cold calls, outside sales, and others)
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development


Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • 2–4 year college degree (Business, Marketing, or Engineering preferred)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel as required


Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales
  • Experience in the refrigeration industry is highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Apps (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
  • Ability to read and understand customer engineering prints and drawings
