Capital Markets Director

Overview:
Conquest Funds is expanding its business lines and seeking an entrepreneurial-minded and success-driven individual to lead our new division as a Capital Markets Director, specializing in Commercial Real Estate Finance. This role presents a unique opportunity to drive growth by originating loan opportunities while simultaneously building a robust network of finance partners across various lending institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive capital markets strategy focused on commercial real estate finance, leveraging Conquest Funds' platform and resources to maximize value creation opportunities.
- Originate new business opportunities by identifying and cultivating relationships with property owners, developers, and sponsors seeking financing for commercial real estate projects.
- Lead the underwriting, structuring, and negotiation of debt and equity placements, joint ventures, and other financing arrangements, tailored to meet the unique needs of Conquest Funds' projects and investment strategies.
- Build and maintain a network of finance partners, including traditional banks, debt funds, life companies, insurance companies, and other conduit lending sources, to facilitate access to diverse financing options for our clients and projects.
- Analyze market trends, conduct due diligence, and assess risk factors to evaluate investment opportunities and optimize portfolio performance.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including acquisitions, asset management, and investor relations, to ensure alignment of capital markets initiatives with Conquest Funds' overall business objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on market conditions, deal pipeline, and performance metrics, and contribute insights to strategic planning discussions.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Conquest Funds, representing the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance visibility and reputation within the commercial real estate community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, or commercial real estate finance, with a proven track record of successful deal origination and execution.
- Extensive network of relationships within the capital markets ecosystem, including property owners, developers, lenders, and finance partners across various lending institutions.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex investment opportunities and develop creative financing solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, and a willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses (or equivalent) preferred.
