The Field Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the implementation and adherence to safety protocols on all job sites. This role involves conducting safety inspections, training, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.


Essential Functions:

1. Safety Inspections and Audits:

o Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of job sites to identify potential hazards.

o Ensure all equipment and processes comply with safety regulations and company policies.

2. Training and Education:

o Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.

o Educate employees on the proper use of safety equipment and safe work practices.

3. Incident Investigation and Reporting:

o Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.

o Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

o Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.

o Stay updated on new safety regulations and industry best practices.

5. Safety Program Development:

o Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies.

o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, making improvements as needed.

6. Risk Management:

o Identify and assess potential safety risks and develop mitigation strategies.

o Implement and monitor risk control measures to minimize workplace hazards.

7. Safety Culture Promotion:

o Promote a culture of safety through continuous education and engagement with employees.

o Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety protocols and procedures.

8. Documentation and Record Keeping:

o Prepare and submit the required safety documentation to regulatory agencies as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in the construction or labor industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and safety meetings effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent is a plus.


Position Requirements:

  • OSHA 500
  • Travel 75% of the time, Nationally. (3 days out of the week)
  • Pass background check and drug test.
