Effy Jewelry is seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join our retail division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems across 150 retail locations. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to retail staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, POS systems, and other IT equipment.
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to store and HQ operations.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain security protocols and data protection measures.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on all IT systems and equipment.
- Document technical procedures and provide training to retail staff as needed.
- Stay current with the latest IT trends and technologies to improve support processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and security principles.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Nice to Have:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar.
- Experience with cloud services and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Availability for off-hour urgent IT support.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and threat management.
- Previous experience working in a luxury retail environment
