We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Installer & Retrofit Technician with 3-5 years of hands-on experience and an EPA Universal Certification to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, retrofitting, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems. You will ensure that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation:

  • Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, and ductwork.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate and efficient installation.
  • Work with a variety of HVAC equipment brands and models, ensuring proper installation techniques.

Retrofit:

  • Perform retrofitting of existing HVAC systems to improve energy efficiency, performance, and compliance with updated standards.
  • Upgrade outdated components and integrate new technologies into existing systems.
  • Conduct energy audits and recommend retrofit solutions tailored to specific client needs.

Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect and clean components, replace filters, and check refrigerant levels.
  • Conduct system tests and troubleshoot issues to prevent unexpected breakdowns.

Repairs:

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Replace or repair defective parts, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and refrigerant lines.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of all service requests.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or apprenticeship preferred.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC Installer & Retrofit Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and controls.
  • Experience in retrofitting HVAC systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and components (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including rooftops, confined spaces, and outdoor settings.
  • Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding as needed.
