The Role You’ll Play

As the Senior Director of People Operations you report to the Head of People & Culture and closely partner with site-level leaders, People & Culture Business Partners and other functional leaders across the organization to assess needs, analyze potential solutions, design, and implement our enterprise-wide People Operations and programs, processes, and systems to enable the transformation of our work-environments and become a more people-centered, customer-focused “preferred employer.”

What You’ll Do

As a “hands-on-leader” you design, and project manage implementation of new people operations processes, programs, and systems with an “employee-first” focus that optimize technology, enable organizational unification, and build excellence in all areas of our employment-cycle while enhancing the use of our HCM system, Paycom’s potential. You help design and implement “best-for-us” tools and processes for new hire processing, payroll, benefits administration, performance management tools, learning management (LMS) systems, compensation, applicant tracking (ATS) and total rewards administration, Further, you identify and implement a digital solution for our personnel records management, and design our talent analytics tools to enable “fact-based” decision making.


In doing so, you apply your change management, analytical, problem solving and project management skills and capabilities along with your Human Resources expertise to deliver people operations solutions that harmonize practices across the enterprise; provide user communication and training to accelerate employee adoption; and create an exceptional employee experience.

Accountabilities include:

  • Owner: In collaboration with cross-functional teams lead build-out and implement Paycom; enterprise-wide HR systems, tools, and processes that achieve HR operational excellence.
  • Systems Administration and Processing: Partner with line leaders to harmonize best-practice for payroll and time keeping process across the whole organization.
  • Compensation, Benefits, and Total Rewards: Guide the shaping of our employees’ experience to one of a preferred employer through the implementation and administration of “best-for-us” compensation structures, benefits, and total rewards processes and tools. Collaborate with line leaders to recognize the contributions of top-performing employees. Identify and implement best practices to help drive equity across the organization.
  • Change Management and Employee Communication: Collaborate with People & Culture Business Partners, line-leaders, and key stakeholders in the development and execution of communication plans to increase team member engagement and satisfaction in all areas and levels of the organization.
  • Learning Management Tools: Identify and co-create a talent learning solution to support a continuous improvement culture that withstands business disruption and enables strategic transformations, while also building our “ideal” employee career-pathing for all stages of team members’ employment-life cycle, at all levels and in all areas of the organization.
  • Performance Management Processes: In partnership with cross functional support functions and PCBP’s, build and implement “best-for-us” performance management, talent recognition, and succession management processes and tools.
  • Applicant Tracking System Management: In partnership with members of the People & Culture team, implement an effective applicant tracking system (ATS), tools and processes to identify and recruit the best talent and provide a gold-standard candidate experience at every stage of the “candidate-lifecycle” including the recruiting, pre-hire, and new hire stages.
  • Compliance and Employment Regulations: Support and champion a culture of overall employee wellness. Stay current with and help ensure the organization’s compliance with all applicable employment, labor laws and regulations.
  • Workforce Analytics: Create and provide workforce data and analytics to support the organization’s overall talent strategies, planning, and talent management.
  • Records Management and Maintenance: Ensure accurate and timely records management throughout the organization both physical and digital records.


What You’ll Need

  • B.S./BA degree in a business-related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources / People Operations roles with a solid HR Operations background
  • Proficiency with HCM/HRIS system; PayCom expertise preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with responsibility for payroll, time keeping systems and processes for multiple sites and in multiple states.
  • 5+ years of experience as a people leader with ability to identify talent, build, and develop high performing teams.
  • Customer leadership with a focus on internal customer impact/value-add.
  • Steadfast resolve, personal integrity with strong ethics and values.
  • Experience in development and implementation of talent analytics in support of talent planning strategies and decision making.
  • Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local wage and hour labor laws and regulations with expertise in California.
  • Demonstrated effective change management and project management skills.
  • Solid analytical and collaborative problems solving.
  • Possess a bias for action and results orientation.
  • Strong oral and written communications.
  • Able to quickly pivot and adjust when unexpected “shifts” happen.

If hired, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. The expected pay range at the time of hire is $140,000.00 to $170,000.00 per year.
