We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to organize, prioritize, and assess work for our scrum team. The responsibilities of this role include gathering feature requests, scheduling releases, and coordinating sprints. To succeed in this position, you should be adept at identifying user needs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage product releases. Ultimately, you will help us roll out products that align with and deliver our company’s vision.


As a member of a central technology team, the Product Manager will work cross-functionally in partnership with brand technology partners, brand marketing teams, hardware and software vendor partners, and internal and external IT engineering teams. The role involves defining requirements, scoping work, estimating levels of effort, prioritizing tasks, and executing development and enhancements for Inspire Brands’ software products.


This position requires a strong background in product management, a customer-focused approach, and a passion for technology-driven features, services, and platforms. It is a critical role in ensuring cross-channel order accuracy by establishing restaurant menus as a consistent, single source of truth.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience with distributed software ecosystems in the restaurant, hospitality, travel, or retail industries.
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems, retail catalogs, and omni-channel operational considerations.
  • Practical experience with product lifecycle management, including taking a product or portal to market, analyzing user behavior, and enhancing the product to address end-user pain points creatively.
  • Understanding of operational pain points, preferably in the restaurant and/or retail industries, along with expertise in digital user experiences, digital design frameworks, and processes (design, research, development, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of software engineering technical terminology, with the ability to follow software design discussions, understand technical constraints, and prioritize functionality based on trade-offs between development and business teams.
  • Experience with product roadmapping tools such as Jira, with the ability to write clear, techno-functional user stories.
  • Familiarity with ideation and prioritization frameworks for product ideas and features.
  • Ability to translate end-user concerns, business objectives, customer needs, and technical directions into clear, concise, and well-documented product requirements.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships, manage stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion and meet shared objectives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, including the ability to adapt quickly to changing business priorities and overcome unexpected challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills and a self-starter mindset, with the ability to operate autonomously and deliver results.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technology-driven solutions in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industries.
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product reviews.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale software product launches from ideation to execution.
  • Demonstrated success in defining product roadmaps, managing product backlogs, and prioritizing features for development teams.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Aha, or similar product management software.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ecosystems, API integrations, and POS systems.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities, evaluate options, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Expertise in developing and presenting business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI calculations.
  • Proficiency in user story creation, wireframing, and product documentation.
  • Advanced project management skills, including planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills to foster teamwork across diverse departments.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (a plus).
