Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
Will enable the team to be compliant and avoid risk.
Reason/motivation for request:
This is an addition to our team to help with the back log of contracts that need to get completed. Other tasks may include support with supplier set up and management.
Typical Day in the Role

Typical task breakdown:
- Worker’s main task will be to work in the Facility and Process Maintenance space to write contracts and clean up the backlog to get them completed and signed.
- Review and potentially optimize suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability and other relevant factors.
- Approve purchase orders, guided buy projects, SIA requests.
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.
Interaction with team:
Heavy interaction with the FPMS team (buyers and manager), Facility Stakeholders, Suppliers, and Contracting COE.
Work environment:
The team sits together in Bldg AB and it’s a very interactive group who will spend time with worker to teach them how to do the job. Office setting.
Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience Required:
- H.S. Diploma w/ 10+ years’ experience.
- Associate’s degree w/ 8+ years’ experience.
- Bachelor’s degree is the preference w/ 5+ years’ experience.
Technical Skills
Required:
- Ability to follow through and complete projects.
- Previous Purchasing experience is required.
- Proofreading.
- Business acumen.
Desired:
- Previous Caterpillar experience is highly desired.
