The technology division of one of the largest entertainment brands is seeking a Visual Designer to join their team for 1+ year contract opportunity. This role operates on a hybrid schedule in Burbank, CA and the ideal candidate will have strong branding, style guide, and presentation experience.
- Hourly Rate Range: $60-70k
Responsibilities:
- Drive design language, brand, and visual design needs across the entertainment brand.
- Part of the Experience Design team within the Strategic Operations department of the Studio Technology organization.
- Develop design language aligning with Studio Technology and our Studio brands.
- Understand the impact of design on the audience and its role in communication.
- Concept development for business segments within the entertainment brand, translating complex ideas into effective design artifacts and graphics.
- Develop brand identity elements, design standards, and style guides to ensure project alignment with stakeholder expectations and our brand.
- Design and deliver graphics, assets (style guides, presentation templates, branding materials), and documentation for key project requests.
- Build client presentations that delight and inspire clients, aligning with brand guidelines
- Present and articulate design direction, ideas, and concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with fellow designers (Visual, UI, UX, Product) to evolve design language and branding efforts.
- Generate design work plans; estimate work items accurately and communicate dependencies and issues as necessary.
- Participate in the development of the larger design team through dialogue, key initiatives, and collaborative projects (e.g., tool and process research, template and pattern creations).
- Inspire new ways of thinking and explore unique approaches to design problems.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate or expert level candidates with experience in PowerPoint or Keynote presentations (portfolio should include examples of layout design, communication templates, and logos).
- Mid-level or junior-level candidates with experience working with large brands.
- Not suitable for recent graduates or entry-level candidates; must have experience and a proven work history.
- Visual design with a strong portfolio showcasing brand work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator) and Figma.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with big global or national brands.
