Position: WMS Analyst - Logistics Solutions


Overview: The WMS Analyst is a critical role in our logistics solutions team, focusing on the operational efficiency and effectiveness of our Warehouse Management System. This position is integral to configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the WMS, ensuring it meets our dynamic warehouse operations and customer requirements. The role demands active collaboration with clients, operational teams, and IT experts to facilitate smooth WMS functionality and comprehensive integration within our distribution framework.


Duties:

  1. WMS and Application Support: Offer ongoing support for the WMS and related applications, ensuring operational issues are resolved promptly to maintain continuous workflow and system integrity.
  2. Implementation Support: Assist in the deployment of new WMS implementations and upgrades, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems and processes.
  3. Customer Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring their specific needs are met, from setting up item masters and allocation rules to creating and managing labels.
  4. WMS Configuration: Customize the WMS to align with specific client and operational requirements, including user roles, permissions, and workflows.
  5. System Maintenance: Manage routine system maintenance, software updates, and troubleshooting to address performance issues and minimize operational disruption.
  6. Integration Management: Coordinate with IT and external vendors to ensure effective integration of the WMS with ERP, TMS, and other critical systems, facilitating efficient data flow and system interoperability.
  7. User Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training and support to end-users, developing resources to enhance user engagement and system proficiency.
  8. Process Optimization: Leverage the WMS to analyze and improve warehouse operations, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  9. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize WMS analytics tools to monitor and report on key performance indicators, inventory management, and order fulfillment metrics.
  10. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of WMS data and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards and procedures.
  11. Project Management: Oversee WMS projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timely execution, and meeting of project deliverables.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience in WMS operations within a logistics or warehousing environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Experience with leading WMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan Associates, SAP EWM).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, capable of working with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Project management experience; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL, programming languages, and data analysis tools.
