About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join our growing construction team in Austin. This role supports the Superintendent in managing daily on-site operations for a mix of commercial and residential projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Superintendent with daily site supervision and coordinationHelp manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site laborMonitor project schedules and support progress trackingEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policiesConduct site inspections to maintain quality and workmanship standardsAssist with material deliveries, site logistics, and inspectionsMaintain clear communication with project managers and field teamsHelp document site activities, issues, and resolutionsQualifications1–3+ years of experience in construction (commercial and/or residential preferred)Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and safety practicesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong communication and organizational skillsProficient with basic construction software and mobile reporting toolsOSHA certification a plusReliable transportation and ability to work on-site in the Austin areaWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceOpportunities for growth and advancementSupportive team environmentExposure to diverse commercial and residential projectsBenefits package (health, PTO, etc. – customize as needed)
