Robbin's latest book, The Holy Grail of Investing, co-authored with our Chairman and CIO, Christopher Zook, recently became a #1 New York Times Bestseller as well. Robbins’ private financial events often feature speakers like Paul Tudor Jones, Ray Dalio, Jeff Gundlach, Hank Paulson, Alan Greenspan, and others.

We are quite different than the vast majority of other investment management companies in multiple ways. First, we always invest our personal capital alongside our Partners. We have more than $650mm of our personal capital committed to our investment vehicles. We provide access to our Partners to co-invest with us in these vehicles, which we believe provide the best opportunities for our families’ and our Shareholders money. Second, because of the scale of our investments, we have access to opportunities that would otherwise not be available to investors with less than $250mm - $500mm of investable assets. Quite simply, there are many investments we can provide for our Partners they could never access on their own. Third, and what we believe is the most unique feature of our Firm, almost all of our compensation is earned only if an investor makes money. In many cases, if our Partners do not make money, we don’t get paid. This ultimate alignment of interests is why we focus on finding the absolute best risk/reward opportunities available.

Deputy COS

This position is designed to be an in-depth program to provide the Team Member with the ability to learn every aspect of our business, while serving directly alongside the Investment Committee Members, including the CIO, as well as other Partners. This role will involve supporting Investment Committee Members in diligence, portfolio management, and firmwide strategy in pursuit of the Firm’s highest priority outcomes. Additionally, this role will provide the Team Member with the opportunity to step into a senior position within the organization, after they have demonstrated significant value and mastery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organizing and supporting the Investment Committee Members’ responsibilities including investment diligence, portfolio management, firmwide strategy, and management of the organization
• Serve as an observer in Investment Committee meetings, along with similar forums, and facilitate the execution of key priorities established by Investment Committee Members

Success as Deputy COS will be measured by your:

• Ability to maximize and facilitate the responsibilities of Investment Committee Members
• Comprehensive understanding of diligence and monitoring across all types of investments made by the Firm
• Mastery of portfolio management tools, including financial modeling
• Effective collaboration across the broader Investment Management Team and the organization, including the execution of key initiatives as directed by the Investment Committee Members

Requirements:

• At least an undergraduate degree with a strong academic record
• A minimum of two years of work experience, with a strong preference toward investment banking or private equity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
• Exceptional organizational and written communication skills with exacting attention to detail
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Prior experience in financial modeling with robust mastery of Microsoft Excel (other data analytics software experience is a plus)
• Team player with a strong work ethic
• Ability to operate with a high degree of confidentiality
• Full-time, Houston-based role working locally while Investment Committee Members travel extensively

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary will be commensurate with experience
