Location: Chanhassen, MN
Shift - 8 AM to 5 PM Central time (Mon to Fri)
Our client is a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer.
We are looking for a Chemistry Lab Technician
- Conducts all R&D laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc.
- Assists in maintaining project timelines.
- Provides support for various projects assigned by Engineers and/or Supervisors.
- Employs basic problem-solving skill sets to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates.
- Collects and organizes data in a coherent format. Communicates basic observations regarding data and/or experimental outcomes.
- Expected to train other Technicians regarding equipment operation and/or test procedures.
- Ability to perform routine tests and operate application equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to identify abnormalities in collected data and/or project work.
- May take on equipment ownership and be responsible for maintaining the safe operation of the assigned equipment.
- Intra-departmental submission of presentations and/or reports.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fields is preferred.
- Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical, and mechanical data.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with other team members in product development programs.
- The candidate must be able to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments.
- Knowledgeable in PowerPoint, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Microsoft Project, and Statistical Analysis Software is preferred.
