THE GIST:

Our client, a family owned & San Francisco based logistics company, seeks a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support their sales team in San Francisco. This role will join their Sales & Marketing team and provide daily administrative, logistical, and contract support. The ideal candidate has a knack for keeping track in many moving parts, stellar analytical & problem-solving skills, and contributing to the collective success of a team. Experience in logistics and supply chain management a plus

THE NITTY GRITTY:

  • Monitor leads and equipment deliveries
  • Create POs and track sales data
  • Manage and set up service contacts
  • Conduct market research on the industry, forecast trends, and track market conditions
  • Assist with account management - providing quotes, proposals and overseeing customer accounts
  • Create online listings and marketing materials
  • Monitor incoming communications and customer leads
  • Arrange shipments, negotiate freight rates, and work with outside vendors
  • Handle clearances and shipping documentation
  • Assist with other general administrative functions and ad hoc projects, as needed


THE ESSENTIALS:

  • 3+ years of experience working in sales administration, logistics, transpiration leasing, and/or inventory management
  • Experience working for a logistics, transportation, or supply chain management company highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel & Word required
  • BA/BS preferred
  • Stellar attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities
  • Poised & professional communication style
  • Resourceful and proactive nature
  • Ability to work collaboratively within all levels of an organization and with external parties
