Position Summary: The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating injection molding project activities, including sourcing tooling, materials, machinery, and automation. The role emphasizes cost efficiency, quality assurance, and meeting customer expectations.

  • Interact with customers, vendors, toolmakers, and external engineering personnel.
  • Participate in and coordinate project meetings to ensure projects stay on track until validation and transfer to production are complete.
  • Draft technical documents, including project timelines and quotations for tooling, part pricing, and engineering expenses.
  • Coordinate the sourcing of injection mold tooling and related molding equipment from domestic and international sources.
  • Experience with handling Automotive Program Launches
  • Manage engineering changes and mold repairs with internal and external resources.
  • Provide training and guidance to engineering and production technician teams.
  • Support current production needs by troubleshooting and improving processes.
  • Participate in activities related to cycle time and process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO and safety standards.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning.
  • Automotive background is REQUIRED.
