Hybrid role near Downtown Dallas


Seeking a Server Administrator to ensure stable and reliable IT systems operations through strategic technology investments and continuous improvement. Deep Azure portal/Windows Server Admin troubleshooting skills as well as experience building servers using Azure is essential in this role. Tools for troubleshooting such as Powershell.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure.
  • Oversee physical and virtual environments, including Azure, Hyper-V, and VMware.
  • Administer and configure Microsoft Hyper-V (2016, 2012 R2) and VMware ESXi/vSphere.
  • Manage Azure environments, including identity management, site recovery, ARM templates, Active Directory, and MFA.
  • Manage Exchange, Office 365, and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell.
  • Manage hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).
  • Create, monitor, update, and escalate incident management requests.
  • Develop and update Azure and Office 365 scripts using PowerShell and MSGraph.
  • Manage backup and recovery solutions (i.e., Cohesity, Azure Backup & Recovery).
  • Manage disaster recovery solutions (i.e., Azure Site Recovery, Zerto, or similar technology).


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Server Administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related degree field or 7 years of IT experience.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure and operations.
  • Experience with Azure, Hyper-V, and VMware environments.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows Server versions 2022, 2019, and 2016.
  • General knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and related services.
  • Familiarity with Azure architecture, identity management, site recovery, ARM templates, Active Directory, and MFA.
  • Familiarity with Azure monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with managing Exchange, Office 365, and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Terraform.
  • Experience with Linux administration.
  • Experience managing hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions (i.e., Cohesity, Azure Backup & Recovery).
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery solutions (i.e., Azure Site Recovery, Zerto, or similar technology).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (i.e., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional).
  • Strong critical thinking skills and detailed oriented.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
