Success Profile:

The Production Assistant supports the Production team in the management of the product lifecycle from initial purchase to finished goods delivery.


This is an exciting time for a Production Assistant with entry-level experience in a SKU intensive environment to join the Calvin Klein Handbags team as the Production Assistant


Reporting to: VP of Production

Brand/Product Focus: Calvin Klein Handbags

Location (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District


Key Accountabilities:

  • Reporting & Analysis: Assists in purchase order creation as well as daily maintenance. Monitor weekly WIP report. Pulling/analyzing reports and updating charts.
  • Vendor Communication: Arrange overseas packages and distribute received packages for the department. Communicates with overseas teams to stay up-to-date on deliveries and communicates any changes in deliveries to sales.
  • Costing: Assist in requesting pricing from factories and updating charts. Enter and maintain costing in the system. Maintain master costing charts.
  • Sample Management: Order, track, and check in TOP and sales samples Assists with special requests including tracking samples.
  • Production Management: Issue cuts and maintain/send purchase orders to factories. Issue factory chargeback for any QC issues. Work with the logistics team to track production
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Uses AS400 and Excel
  • Special Projects: Manage manifest and routing forms, GSI labels, and ordering of pre-tickets.


Education and Experience:

  • 1 year of production professional work experience in a SKU intensive environment, required
  • A college degree, or equivalent professional work experience, required


Skills and Behaviors:

  • Advanced MS Excel skills: data manipulation, pivot tables, v-lookup
  • Working knowledge of WebPDM, PLM, an asset
  • Experience using AS400, an asset; open to learning and use the AS400 system, required
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills with critical attention to detail
  • Confident, engaging verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated to work in a high-energy environment at the speed of fashion with ever-changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and work to meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with other departments as well as vendors and other overseas offices

The pay range for this position is: $24.04 per hour/$50k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40-hour work week) - $28.85 per hour/$60k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40-hour work week)
