CNC Manager

Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a manufacturing company in Hudsonville, MI who is looking to direct hire a CNC Manager. This candidate must have experience managing teams with training and onboarding of CNC Operators, reading, interpreting, and writing programs for production, and collaborating in cross functional teams for scheduling and production purposes.

CNC Manager Requirements

• Collaborate with scheduling, engineering and other production departments to ensure processes are in place for optimized performance and on-time-delivery
• Supervise operators and assembly employees to enforce schedule adherence and maximize production output
• Ability to comprehend schematics, interpret mill specifications and tooling requirements for improved production accuracy and quality
• Familiarity with machining aluminum and ductile materials
• Experience with additional processing such as deburring, thermal deburring, anodizing and coating
• Coach and educate team on best practices and industry standards
• Conduct quality inspections with precision measurement tools to ensure specifications are met, and understanding when to true-up a production run for lot control
• Maintain instrument calibrations for accurate quality measurements thorough understanding of G&M code programming and machine set-up

CNC Manager Qualifications

• CNC Machinist with 5-10 years on-the-job knowledge; Certificates or Education will be considered along with experience
• high attention to detail, aesthetics, and precision machining to meet quality objectives
• leadership skills and drive for team development
• to cost control measures and lean manufacturing methodology
• in machine tending and automation opportunities
• with the ability to improvise & adapt to schedule and/or design changes
• understand safety protocols, PPE requirements and adherence to company policies
• communication skills and ability to work well with other departments
• with Microsoft programs and Outlook
• organizational skills and time management
