Fabricator/Assembler

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Mig/Tig Welding

· Steel Fabrication /Cutting/Forming

· Stainless Steel Finishing

· Finish Assembly

· Quality Inspection

· Must maintain fabricating equipment

· Must be able to operate sanders, grinders, saws and drill presses to create parts

· Ability to adapt machines to craft new parts

· Able to identify tools and methods needed to construct and assemble components

· Able to evaluate equipment performance and implement necessary modifications

· Install new wiring and equipment

· Check measurements and dimensions of each piece that’s being worked on with calipers, measuring tapes or squares

· Mark spots to cut and use tools to manipulate steel, plastic or other materials by cutting, hammering, bending or grinding the workpiece

· Must be able to operate CNC equipment including plasma table, press brake, shear and router.

· Review blueprints, drawings and other specification papers before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion

· Maneuver fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials

Make templates for common work tasks when conducting repetitive motions for the fabrication process to ensure a set standard of work quality

QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 3 years of experience in fabrication

· Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications

· Physical ability to lift at least 75 pounds or more

· Ability to work independently with little supervision

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, and procedures.

· Ability to respond effectively to inquiries.

· Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with customers and coworkers verbally.

· Ability to work within a team environment and take direction from a supervisor or manager.

Excellent attendance history required

· Candidates should possess a high level of professionalism, a bright attitude, and a clear ability to effectively communicate between all levels of an organization.

· Understanding of construction tasks and industrial processes

· Excellent color vision and hand dexterity

· 3 years of experience or more performing similar work

· Skilled at welding diverse metals

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Fabrication experience highly preferred
