Qualifications

  • The candidate should be someone who is an effective communicator, detail oriented, organized and multi-tasker who works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Associates or bachelors degree in construction management or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • Experience in General Commercial Construction with emphasis on building access (scaffolding, swing stage, mast climber), exterior wall systems and waterproofing (EIFS, Stucco, Masonry, Windows, etc.) and Restoration (concrete repair, structural repair, etc.)
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Procore or other Construction Management Software.
  • Outstanding organizational skills required to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Travel may be required to assist projects handled throughout the panhandle of Florida.
  • Candidate must have a positive attitude with the Client/Consultant/General Contractor. Strives to avoid confrontation with client/consultant. Always represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Ensure that Client relationships are well maintained.
  • Be a Team Player. Helping others and supporting others’ growth.
  • Promotes Safety and ensures safety is implemented and maintained on each project.
  • Promotes subcontractors and plan ahead with them for current project and future projects.
  • Effectively communicate with Client.
  • Understand the scope of work.
  • Create, updated and maintain a variety of project controls that track the status of individual projects or task orders, changes to projects or task orders, RFI, shop drawings and submittal, matters involving quality controls, safety, financial performance, close-out and other aspects of projects.
  • Work with subject matter experts to create, review and process shop drawings and other submittals that are required to document the construction sequence.
  • Manage or support the change management process, by updating logs, routing source documents to vendors, obtaining pricing, developing estimates and proposals, writing change orders and other related activities.
  • Establish, monitor, communicate and maintain project schedules utilizing scheduling softaware.
  • Manage the material tracking log by utilizing experience and forthought to ensure buyout, submittals, shop drawings and samples have been awarded, scheduled and available to support the Office and Field team. Know the project intimately from Preconstruction through Close-out and manages all logs individually.
  • Negotiate and/or support the process of negotiating contracts, subcontracts and other purchase orders.
  • Assist in ensuring that all aspects of the project are compliant with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project and the community in which the project(s) take place.
  • Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as Accounting, HR, Estimating, etc.
  • Participate in activities that are related to project close-out to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist with the evaluation of projects for constructability and value-engineer cost savings.
  • Participate in learning opportunities and professional development.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and industry networking functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Procore
