The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and leading the company’s quality assurance program to ensure that all products meet established standards, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001. This role involves working closely with the management team to align quality objectives with the company's policies and goals while maintaining the integrity of the Quality and Environmental Management System.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance objectives that support the organization's goals and policies.
  • Communicate quality assurance strategies and expectations to key personnel.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of design and purchasing documents to ensure compliance with established quality requirements.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze data and assess process performance.
  • Make recommendations regarding product acceptance and vendor partnerships based on quality assessments.
  • Evaluate data collected from quality assurance activities to ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to address quality assurance challenges.
  • Keep senior management informed of significant quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports and program updates to the management team.
  • Oversee quality assurance personnel and coordinate activities such as vendor audits, product validations, safety meetings, and internal audits.
  • Ensure compliance with government and industry quality codes and standards.
  • Lead internal quality audits and support quality management initiatives.
  • Design and deliver training programs on quality and manufacturing standards to key staff members.
  • Investigate customer complaints related to quality and implement corrective actions as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role or industry, with a minimum of 5+ years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret business literature, technical documentation, and government regulations.
  • Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and developing procedural manuals.
  • Advanced mathematical skills, including knowledge of statistical methods, and ability to apply them to quality assurance processes.
