Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based server infrastructures that are scalable, reliable, and secure
  • Implement automation and scripting solutions for server administration tasks
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including software updates, backups, and disaster recovery testing
  • Monitor server performance and proactively identify and address issues
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of server infrastructure with other systems and applications
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect server infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior server engineers
  • Document server infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in server engineering and administration.
  • Extensive experience with cloud-based server infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration; Linux server administration is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of networking and storage technologies.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • 6-8 years of system, database, or network administration experience.
  • Certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, Azure, or equivalent.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies.
  • ITIL V3/V4 Foundations preferred but not required.
  • High proficiency with Windows OS and networking principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


Physical and Environmental Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for up to 10 hours a day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work in an office environment with typical ambient conditions.
  • Availability to work at least 8 hours per day, five days per week, and occasionally on weekends and holidays.
  • Must carry a cell phone and respond to urgent calls as needed.
