Position Summary:

Francis Energy is seeking a meticulous and proactive Legal Assistant to join our team. This role will focus on reviewing state and federal Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and related Public Private Partnership Agreements (i.e., P3’s), providing detailed breakdowns of compliance requirements, and managing project deliverables to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory obligations. The Legal Assistant will work closely with the Compliance Manager in the legal department and collaborate with construction, operations, and other departments as necessary to support overall project success and compliance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Review and analyze state and federal RFPs, P3’s, and other legal documents related to construction projects.

· Provide detailed breakdowns of compliance requirements and ensure all contractual and regulatory obligations are met.

· Manage and track project deliverables to ensure timely and accurate compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.

· Collaborate with the construction team and operations team to facilitate the implementation of compliance measures.

· Assist in the preparation and submission of required documentation and reports to regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.

· Work closely with the Compliance Manager to monitor and address compliance issues and updates.

· Organize and maintain legal files, including electronic records and physical documents as needed.

· Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

· Associate’s degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, with a focus on construction law and/or compliance preferred.

· Strong knowledge of state and federal RFP processes, government contracts, and compliance requirements is a plus.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and manage multiple tasks effectively.

· Demonstrated ability to track and manage project deliverables and deadlines.
