Salary: Up to $180,000 per year

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Scientist with expertise in Python, PySpark, Databricks, and experience in pricing or demand forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the e-commerce industry and a proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions. This is a hybrid on-site role based in Encino, CA, offering up to $180K annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced data models and algorithms to solve complex business problems related to pricing and demand forecasting.
- Utilize Python, PySpark, and Databricks to analyze large datasets and build scalable data pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and translate them into data science projects.
- Apply machine learning techniques to enhance predictive models and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve data science methodologies and tools.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on pricing or demand forecasting in the travel or e-commerce industry.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Databricks.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid on-site environment in Encino, CA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional programming languages such as R or SQL.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Knowledge of A/B testing and experimental design.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
