Pyron Group Insurance, an affiliate of national-scale Leavitt Group, is searching for a new commercial lines team leader. This is a management role where you’ll lead the existing commercial department, with the ability to shape, design, and implement new processes to enhance our service and new business marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and grow the commercial department, including recruiting and onboarding new account managers.
  • Process Improvement: Assess and redesign the current commercial service and marketing processes, followed by implementing and deploying optimized procedures.
  • Servicing Existing Business: Initially, there will be a need to service existing clients, but the role will phase out of day-to-day servicing as you build a team and shift focus to leadership and management.
  • Strategic Role: This position provides an opportunity to build and lead a department from the ground up, ideal for someone who is excited by the challenge of growth and leadership.


Experience

3-5 years of experience working with an independent agency or brokerage


Required License/Certification

Active property & casualty license in MS


Skills

  • Data Entry and online quoting experience
  • Experience using an agency management system. Experience with Vertafore’s AMS360 is preferred but not required
  • Basic Windows environment skills
  • Microsoft Office suite experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance terminology, coverages, policies, and procedures
  • Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance-related discipline or commensurate experience
  • HS diploma or GED at minimum
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality


Schedule

8 hours Monday – Friday
