The ideal candidate will oversee the company’s tax compliance, manage tax reporting and planning, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of tax laws and excellent leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and manage staff deliverables including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, multi-state, etc.)
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and stay current on changes in tax laws.
  • Prepare and review complex U.S. and multi-state/international income tax returns for business entities, including consolidated and nonconsolidated C-corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships
  • Assist with business development efforts, including but not limited to, meeting with prospective and existing clients, preparing fee quotes and proposals, and evaluating clients’ needs
  • Handle tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Prepare and review tax provisions and financial statements for tax-related items.
  • Provide guidance and support to the finance team and other departments on tax matters.
  • Mentor and develop junior tax staff, fostering professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Master's degree highly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong focus on compliance and planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Must be able to meet 150 credit requirement for CPA eligibility
