What we are looking for

           MW Metals Group is looking for a highly motivated individual with scrap metal experience to expand our scrap marketing department and drive growth. The Metal Marketing Associate will assist with marketing scrap to consumers, the daily flow of paperwork and new business development.

 

Job Description

           This position will establish and maintain relationships and provide customer service to recycled metals buyers to support the growth and financial objectives of MW Metals Group from assisting with managing scrap from initial procurement and to the marketing and sale, to ensuring transportation and bookings are coordinated, and to final payment from the consumer. This position will require regular travel to maintain and manage business relationships. The employee in this position is expected to exhibit behaviors consistent with the organization and will conduct all business transactions in a manner which conforms to our core values of honesty, integrity, and transparency.


Main Responsibilities

·        Learn & manage the marketing and selling of scrap metal (ferrous & non-ferrous), paper, plastic, and cardboard.

·        Collaborate with purchasing team to price items for industrial accounts.

·        Identify target customers and new markets.

·        Collect and compile consumer feedback in an easily reviewed and understood format for review by management.

·        Forecast and analyze sales trends and marketing strategies; prepares and presents reports summarizing information; makes recommendations based on analysis.

·        Develops and maintains positive relationships with existing and new consumers.

·        Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

·        2-5 years in non-ferrous experience.

·        3-5 years in selling non-ferrous materials.

·        Strong knowledge base in aluminum grades.

·        Safety first attitude

·        Must be willing to travel to maintain current business relations.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of the team.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in an ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to learn in a continually developing organization.
