The Associate Counsel will be integral in managing and guiding legal processes across the organization, focusing primarily on contract drafting and negotiations with a significant role in privacy and data security. This role demands a proactive approach to supporting various legal facets of a dynamic retail environment, including intellectual property and marketing compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and review diverse commercial contracts, especially technology-related agreements.
- Analyze existing contracts to advise on the company’s legal rights and obligations.
- Manage and provide guidance on privacy, data security, and intellectual property issues.
- Assist in legal oversight for marketing strategies and compliance frameworks.
- Innovate and improve contracting processes in collaboration with internal teams.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree, licensed to practice in the U.S., with Wisconsin preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in corporate law, with a preference for candidates with in-house experience in the retail sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract law, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of working under pressure.
