Role Responsibilities
- Lead the build of our company data architecture/infrastructure, including internal server systems.
- Responsible for company data security throughout entire data supply chain, from acquisition on our satellites to customer delivery
- Ensure processes, controls, and documentation protect company from existing risks as well as potential new threats.
- Work with external partners to ensure ongoing compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring all company files and data are backed up
- Lead IT-related new hire onboarding including email and computer set up, granting access to appropriate tools and software, and tracking equipment provided.
- Support company by troubleshooting issues with computers, servers, hardware, software, network connections, etc.
- Lead all company-wide IT projects.
- Communicate information security policies, standards and guidelines across the company.
- Maintain company inventory of all technology equipment.
- Point-person for IT-related partnerships including Comcast, Microsoft, and Dell
- Ensure compliance with required security policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Private-sector work experience in information technology, IT system administration, or IT consulting
- Knowledge of principles of IT infrastructure system development and systems integration in a public sector environment
- Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS
- Strong knowledge of various security technologies such as vulnerability management, AV/EDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPN, DNS, firewalls, proxies, etc.
- Ability to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control IT projects.
- Ability to work independently in a technical environment with interlinked and changing priorities.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or similar discipline OR equivalent professional experience in information technology, system administration, or other IT-related roles
To conform with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
