Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Social Media Graphic Designer for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-known fitness brand.


You’ll join the Creative team to create engaging visuals, videos and motion graphics for the brands social media accounts. This is a 7-month contract to hire opportunity. The role is located in Carlsbad, CA and is Hybrid-Onsite: 4 days onsite/1 day remote.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop digital content for social media platforms, including graphics, animations, videos, and other multimedia assets.
  • Create engaging layouts and designs for digital marketing materials such as web banners, ads, social media posts, and email campaigns.
  • Edit and produce video content for social media channels, ensuring high standards of quality and brand consistency.
  • Develop motion graphics and animations using Adobe AfterEffects and Premiere to enhance social media content.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Manager to review design concepts, strategies, and final executions to maintain brand consistency and alignment with marketing goals.
  • Manage and deliver content against an established social media calendar set by the Social Media Manager.
  • Manage creative projects within the project management software, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and communicating effectively with the team.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative concepts for marketing projects.
  • Contribute to strategic marketing initiatives that enhance brand presence and awareness.
  • Stay updated on design trends and best practices to ensure the brand remains innovative and competitive.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various business initiatives, including IT, Apparel, Promotions, and On Demand.
  • Assist with key marketing meetings, events, and other related duties as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a related field.
  • Proficient in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, AfterEffects).
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Excellent skills in video editing and motion graphics.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to conceive and produce emotionally evocative visual stories.
  • Capable of capturing the brand essence and unique value proposition visually.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to multitask and manage frequent interruptions effectively.
