This is a Contract to Hire position with 100% onsite requirements with hybrid potential after 6-9 months. The Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a vital role in the insurance reimbursement and collection of medical claims.

Job Duties:
  • Process and manage medical billing claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with insurance regulations and guidelines.
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, identifying and resolving discrepancies and denials in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues and facilitate payment collections.
  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Utilize medical billing software and electronic health records systems to update patient accounts and billing information.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, coding changes, and best practices in medical billing and accounts receivable management.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of medical ICD & CPT coding experience, Family Practice or Clinic setting is preferred.
  • Electronic Medical Record experience, eCW software highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Computer literate with entry level working knowledge of Microsoft Suites; Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, prioritize, and facilitate many on-going tasks at one time.
  • Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
