Role Description

Do you want to work directly with the managing partner of a mid-size law firm with offices across Texas, that specializes in civil appeals, insurance coverage matters, and commercial litigation? The Dallas office of Walters Balido & Crain is actively reviewing resumes of attorneys who want to build on their current experience in civil appellate matters, insurance coverage, or commercial litigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Exceptional research, writing, and briefing skills
  • Case assessment for liability, loss, and damages
  • Manage client reporting, billing, budgeting, and case management requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Drafting and responding to discovery
  • Conducting depositions
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local rules
  • Meet or exceed monthly billable hour goals
  • Occasional travel


Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice in the State of Texas
  • Civil litigation/insurance defense experience preferred
  • Able to work with a team in a collaborative environment or independently
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel


Experience:

  • Litigation: 1-5 years (Preferred)


License/Certification:

  • TX Bar License (Required)
