Junior IT Support Technician

Contract through January. potential for it to go perm. This will be a Part-time position (20-25 hours/week)

100% onsite in Morristown, NJ

Monday- Thursday could be additional 4 hours spread out over these days This


This will be a Windows environment exp - supporting internal employees onsite

Ideal candidate will be a recent grad or up to 3 years exp

Must have a good attitude, reliable, accountable, interpersonal skills for the customer service side of things internally


This person will be responsible for providing production support, problem analysis, solution definition, and user requirements for IT infrastructure and local IT equipment. The Support Technician will maintain stability to the current IT Solutions, assist in the deployment of new technology and assist in variety of projects.


Essential Duties:

  • Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Work 9am - 2pm
  • Remotely administrate over Microsoft based systems and services through use of the RSAT (Active Directory/DNS/DHCP/Group Policy/etc.)
  • Assist in Identity and Access Management (IAM), to include provisioning, problem resolution and audit support.
  • Assist in the maintenance and deployment of patch and vulnerability management processes and solutions.
  • Maintain the local technology infrastructure.
  • Respond to and document IT incidents utilizing IT incident management system.
  • Create, and maintain IT Solutions knowledge base documentation.
  • Track and maintain local IT assets.
  • Comply with Corporate Safety and IT policies and procedures.
  • Identify, procure, and deploy customer IT equipment.
  • Additional duties as directed by business need.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in a Windows environment supporting PCs, printers, network equipment (wired and wireless.)
  • Working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Exchange.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and a team-oriented environment, with willingness to share knowledge and expedite the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
  • Strong, hands-on, and current knowledge of the Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Outlook and Office 365 environments, and Windows network configurations in a global enterprise environment
  • Extensive knowledge of customer IT desktop solutions, including deployment, maintenance, and fault resolution
  • Experience presenting technical and security concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of change management, project management and process improvement principles.
  • Experience handling priorities on a pro-active basis, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment to maximize time-management and efficiencies.
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills.
