JOB SUMMARY

3-5 recent years as an Operations Supervisor within the Foundry Manufacturing or Industry background. Will require to partner closely with the Director of Operations. Oversee, provide, and coordinate the daily activities and operations, oversee all levels of staff activity and performance. Develop processes to increase productivity, participate in the interview process and manage the onboarding of new staff. Monitor equipment to ensure they’re in good working order. Collaborate with Product and Industrial Engineers within development and design of new products. Acquire additional certifications and credentials required for work or career development. Intermediate Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Suite, knowledge of Statistical Process Control, and Organizational Skills. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Makes sure hourly employees in the assigned department receive adequate training and support.
  • Ensures product quality.
  • Performs record keeping duties for assigned staff.
  • Establishes and maintains an efficient and productive physical department.
  • Responsible for employee training, performance, safety, implementation of company policies and related human resource functions.
  • Collaborates with Product and Industrial Engineers in the development and design of new products and the setting of ‘standard’ times for operations.
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management.
  • Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Other tasks may be assigned by the director.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent / B.A. preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a foundry/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Intermediate Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Suite, knowledge of Statistical Process Control, and Organizational Skills
  • Bilingual: (English/Spanish) speaking.
