Educational Coordinator & Department Overview

Are you ready to use your background in Special Education and BCBA certification to have ongoing impact? Our Educational Coordinators have a key role in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students where intellectual, emotional, and social growth flourish Overseeing 2 classrooms of 6-8 students each, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team to develop and implement tailored teaching plans. Schedule and Salary Information

  • From $85,000/year


Educational Coordinator Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Education or Special Education
  • BCBA
  • Severe Special Education certification
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a special education setting and supervisory experience.


Educational Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Serves as a clinician for a caseload of students
  • Completes annual/intake assessments and reports
  • Prepares for IEP meetings, including IEP writing for behavior need area, Behavior Support Plan (BSP) development, Functional Behavior Assessment, Preference Assessment and other supporting documents.
  • Facilitates treatment efficacy by recommending scientifically validated and most effective least restrictive treatment procedures.
  • Holds weekly classroom meetings and completes corresponding training roster and documentation.
  • Ensures all data collection is accurate as prescribed by target behavior and instructional programming.
  • Provides daily in classroom support as prescribed by schedule.
