Job DescriptionJob Description

The Healing Center of Mass, a substance abuse treatment facility, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join our dedicated team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will be responsible for supervising clients, maintaining a safe environment, and providing support to our clinical team. You will be an integral part of our facility's mission to provide high-quality care to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise clients and ensure a safe environment
  • Act as supportive staff to the clinical team
  • Collect and document drug test results
  • De-escalate clients when necessary
  • Intervene with clients leaving against clinical advice and encourage them to stay
  • Complete incident reports
  • Facilitate groups as necessary
  • Keep the facility clean
  • Transport clients to meetings and appointments
  • Complete shift reports
  • Perform other job responsibilities as they arise

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
