We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to play a pivotal role in strengthening the HR presence at one of our clients in Brighton, MI. This is a full-time, long-term, direct-hire opportunity within a company that offers career growth and development.


Position: Human Resources Generalist

Compensation: Up to $80,000

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Onsite (Travel out of state up to 25%)


About the Human Resources Generalist: This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role designed to improve employee retention, enhance performance accountability, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.


What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary onsite HR representative, addressing employee relations, managing turnover, and driving performance improvements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership to resolve workplace issues effectively.
  • Partner with company leadership to develop and implement strategies to improve employee retention and engagement across all locations.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making on workforce planning and development.
  • Visit 2 out of state plants monthly to deliver HR support and maintain a strong connection with employees and managers at those sites.
  • Conduct regular HR audits, with a focus on ensuring accurate payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws and internal policies.


What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in an HR generalist role, with a track record of supporting multi-site operations within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, employee relations, and payroll systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
