Tax Manager - Sarasota, Florida



Responsibilities:

• Preparing, processing, and maintaining paperwork related to all aspects of the accounting cycle, culminating in the preparation and filing of returns.

• Assisting in IRS and state audits.

• Gathering information and explaining options for best practices to clients.

• Maintaining written and verbal communication between the Client, the IRS, and all relevant outside regulatory agencies and vendors.

• Staying up to date with changing tax codes and accounting laws.

• Researching tac compliance issues on the local, state, and federal level.

• Other duties assigned by management.




Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a tax manager, analyst, or similar

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

• CPA license

• Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, UltraTax

• Personal integrity: ability to keep customer and company confidence.

• Advanced MS Excel skills

• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

• Strong written and oral communication skills
