Remote Position

Will Supervise a Team Of 4 and Manage Captive Insurance Companies Both Onshore and Offshore.

Base of 165K - 200K, a superior work environment with work/life balance considerations.


The ideal candidate should have massive insurance experience as well as investment accounting. The Finance Director will lead, and oversee, all accounting tasks and personnel. This is a remote position and will require some traveling.


Finance Director Job Duties:

• Monitor all financial transactions for both internal and external clients

• Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line and in statutory

regulations and legislation

• Analyze the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in

creating strategic plans for the future

• Interpret complex financial information and provide direction to accounting team for

the execution and recording of the transactions

• Assist employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking

financial data, posting and reconciliation

• Prepare official reports on a monthly and annual basis

• Seek out methods and practices to minimize financial risk

• Internal auditing to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date

• Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including

banking institutions and accountants

• Update, and implement, financial policies and procedures

• Maintain a policy manual for the finance department

• Establish and implement a training program for new finance employees.


Finance Director Skills and Qualifications:

CPA preferred. Advanced degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field; several years of experience in insurance finance with an emphasis in Captive Insurance Companies, strong accounting investment experience a must; excellent mathematical skills; leadership skills; management experience; integrity; honesty; understanding of data privacy standards; exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal,


  • thorough understanding of business principles and practices; superior attention to detail; organizational skills; planning skills; problem-solving skills; research skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills; computer skills; multi-tasking skills. Hands on professional with excellent problem-solving skills.
