Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to leaders, managers, and employees on a full range of employment related matters
  • Work in conjunction with other HR colleagues and external consultants/advisors as necessary
  • Handle employee relations matters with employees and managers and participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations
  • Coach leadership and management on how to lead and direct positive change
  • Act as the custodian for the performance management process
  • Upskill employees on effective goal setting and development planning
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and contribute to the overall strategy
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and reduce risks related to daily management of employees


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of HRBP experience, 6+ years of progressive HR experience preferably in the insurance industry
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven experience in delivering robust HR support
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of California employment-related laws and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • HR Certification(s) preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically
