Jr. Piping Designer

TSR is seeking a Jr. Piping Designer to work with one of the largest EPC firms in the country. This is a long-term contract position in Spruance, VA. This would be a great fit for a CAD Operator/Drafter looking to move to a piping design career.

This could also be a good fit for a recent graduate of a CAD training program. The selected candidate will work with, and be mentored by, Senior Designers acting as a resource for any technical questions.


Summary of Responsibilities

  • Work from P&ID's, client specifications and vendor data to design complex piping systems for chemical facility.
  • Create isometrics, pipe supports
  • Ensures that completed design is functional, maintainable and designed with safety and that all applicable codes have been followed
  • Interface with other disciplines

Requirements

  • Skills are typically acquired through a technical degree in Design/Drafting and/or a minimum of 2+ years related experience
  • AutoCAD knowledge required
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to plan, prioritize, and implement multiple, concurrent projects or activities.
  • Good communication & documentation of work products are essential
