Overview
Window Therapeutics (WTx) is committed to discovering and developing transformational therapeutics to address critical unmet patient needs in cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Spinning out of MIT and based in Boston, WTx’s core Antibody BAM Conjugate (ABC) technology is based on over ten years of progressive research and development from the laboratory of Prof. Jeremiah Johnson.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who would be instrumental to the advancement of our technology into the clinic. The successful candidate will report to WTx’s CSO, and will be on the forefront of developing and characterizing our novel candidates with respect biological performance in vitro and in vivo. The results generated will propel the program into the clinic and provide critical contributions towards the design of subsequent clinical trials.
Responsibilities
· Provide leadership and strategy in the company’s biology, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, toxicology and other related areas
· Manage an internal group of scientists’ day to day functions and operations
· Manage CROs in conducting needed studies
· Work closely with senior leadership and other disciplinaries to move the various programs forward
· Communicate and present results in a multidisciplinary team and to senior leadership and scientific conferences
Qualifications
· PhD in biochemistry, molecular cell biology, Pharmacology, or related field
· At least ~6-10yrs industry experience in biotech/pharmaceuticals
· Must have solid experience with ADC (Antibody-Drug-Conjugates), antibodies, and oncology biology
· Experience and track record of advancing programs from discovery research to candidate nomination, preclinical development and IND filing
· Strong background and experience in cancer biology, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, biodistribution, and toxicology evaluation
· Ability to think critically, solve problems, and work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
