The Opportunity

The Regional Materials Manager is responsible for tracking the movement of waste materialized from customers through the Tradebe network to final disposition, with the objective of optimizing total cost of transportation and disposal.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of safety by prioritizing and ensuring compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
  • Work proactively with Customer Experience and Sales to create and reviews profiles submitted by customers for approval ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Guide internal team members to expedite accuracy in profiles and resolve issues efficiently, driving a better customer experience and outcome.
  • Provide regulatory guidance and review of EPA, DOT and State designations.
  • Approve all wastewater streams coming into sites and assist in the Quality resolution.
  • Ensure waste material is acceptable for permit and if not acceptable actively seek alternative options for treatment.
  • Evaluate waste stream(s) (profiles) for most cost-effective treatment option, or treatment option requested by customer.
  • Assess best method of handling waste taking all treatment, labor, material, equipment and transportation costs into consideration.
  • Provide technical guidance on haz waste management and problem-solving techniques to Customer Experience Representatives.
  • Actively pursue and evaluate new treatment facilities and technologies for potential cost reduction(s) and sustainability.
  • Routinely audit shipments for routing compliance and load optimization (weight or cubed out).


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology with a Chemistry focus, Environmental Science or related field
  • Industry experience in waste management
  • Three to five (3-5) years Materials Management or Approvals Management experience in an environmental or waste management company preferred
  • Knowledge EPA, RCRA, DOT, wastewater and state regulations
  • Knowledge of Operating permits and Waste Analysis Plans
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must enjoy problem solving and being solution-oriented
