Director of Product Management

Key Responsibilities:

1.Product Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop the product strategy and roadmap for the EMR system.
  • Conduct market research to determine product feature requirements that meet healthcare industry needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of the product vision with the company’s overall strategy.

2.Product Management and Execution:

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Define and prioritize product features and write clear product requirement documents (PRDs).
  • Work closely with development teams to oversee the progress of product development and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

3.User Experience and User Interface:

  • Ensure the user interface is intuitive, easy-to-use, and compliant with healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback to continuously improve the product experience.

4.Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

  • Perform market research to understand competitors’ product offerings and identify potential market opportunities.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and technological developments in the healthcare industry.

5.Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer service, and other departments to ensure successful product launches.
  • Assist in preparing product demonstrations, training materials, and technical documentation.

6.Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure the product complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including HIPAA, ISO 13485, etc.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the product development process.


Qualifications:

1.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

2.Experience: At least 7 years of experience in product management within the healthcare IT sector, with at least 3 years in a senior product management role.

3.Professional Skills:

  • Deep understanding of EMR systems, including relevant laws, regulations, and technical standards.
  • Proficiency with product management tools and technologies, such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, understand technical issues, and provide business perspectives.

4.Other Skills:

  • Strong sense of ownership and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and pressured environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

1.Certifications: PMP, Agile Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications.

2.Publications and Patents: Publications or patents in the healthcare field.

Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with healthcare information exchange standards, such as HL7, FHIR, etc.

3.Recent Experience at Major EMR Companies: At least 3-5 years of experience working at major EMR companies within the past three years, both domestically and internationally. Candidates with significant achievements in EMR development or management will be given preference.
